Halloween Spirit Took Over DAIS

The DAIS community had an exciting October filled with Halloween celebrations, creative activities, and fun events! From student competitions to large community events, the campus was buzzing with Halloween spirit throughout the month.

On October 29, Elementary students kicked off the festivities with the annual Halloween Parade. Dressed in a wide variety of creative costumes, students paraded through campus, giving classmates, teachers, and families the chance to enjoy the fun and celebrate the season together.

On October 30, High School Student Government hosted its annual Halloween House Event. Students took part in a variety of Halloween-themed games and activities before the event wrapped up with a costume contest. From creative costumes to enthusiastic participation, students brought their best Halloween spirit to the competition! Meanwhile, the Middle School Student Council also organized a costume contest, giving students the opportunity to show off their costumes and join in the Halloween festivities.

On October 31, Student Government and the National Honor Society hosted their annual Monster Mash and Haunted House. With over 400 families from across Dalian attending, the campus was transformed into a lively Halloween celebration! Families had plenty to explore, with more than 20 games, food vendors, and a variety of arts and crafts activities. The evening was filled with laughter, excitement, and festive fun as families came together to celebrate Halloween.

Throughout October, the Secondary Library also hosted a special Halloween reading event for students. A variety of guest readers were invited to share spooky stories in different languages, including Chinese, Arabic, and Spanish. Students had the chance to experience stories from different cultures while enjoying some Halloween-themed reading.

From the Elementary Halloween Parade and exciting House competitions to creative costumes, a packed Monster Mash, and spooky storytelling, October was full of memorable moments for the DAIS community. A big thank-you to all the students, teachers, families, and volunteers who helped make these celebrations possible. It was wonderful to see the entire community come together and make this Halloween season one to remember.
