TWO MILESTONES. ONE VISION

From our founding in 2005 with just seven students to a thriving, diverse community of over 800 learners, our journey has been extraordinary. This year, we honor our shared legacy — and look ahead to a bright future.

In the 2025–2026 school year, we proudly celebrate two incredible milestones:
  • 20 years of Dalian American International School (DAIS)
  • 15 years of Dalian Huamei School (DHS)

A CREATIVE MARK OF LEGACY

Earlier this year, students were invited to design a logo that captures the spirit of our anniversary.

 

The winning design, created by Grade 6 student Megan Tian, beautifully blends the histories and futures of DAIS and DHS into one striking image.

Since its inception, DAIS and Huamei have provided every student with an opportunity to achieve personal excellence and to contribute to the global community.
DAIS just opened
Dalian American International School founded
The school opened its doors in October 2006 with only 7 international students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

DAIS and Huamei 2010
Dalian Huamei School founded
In 2010, the Dalian Huamei School (DHS), a grade 9-12 boarding high school for Chinese nationals was founded.

DAIS campus in 2020
Established a strategic alliance with Nord Anglia Education
In the fall of 2020, DAIS/DHS joined the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) family of schools, China’s longest standing international education provider.

DAIS & Huamei anniversary year celebration
In the 2025–2026 school year, we proudly commemorate 20 years of DAIS and 15 years of Huamei. Two schools now enroll more than 850 students representing some 30 nations and rank among the best international schools in China.

A highlight of the event was this year’s Doodle Wall — an intricate design honoring our beloved Sea Dragon and proudly celebrating DAIS’s 20th Anniversary!
