BUILDING LOCAL & GLOBAL CHANGEMAKERS
At DAIS, we believe that our community service programs provide students with the opportunity to become active members of their larger community, develop critical life skills and knowledge while making a difference in the lives of those in need.
Auntie Wang’s Elderly Home Project – Students assessed the needs of the elderly residents and, among other things, spearheaded a successful food drive, brought together a group of student volunteers to make warm blankets and visited regularly to read books to the senior citizens.
No Plastic Bag Club - With sustainability in mind, students involved in this volunteer program focused on educating their classmates on the importance of maintaining a healthy environment by eliminating the use of plastic bags.
