DAIS 20th Anniversary Series: First ACAMIS Soccer Tournament in 2012

As part of our 20th Anniversary celebration, we’re sharing favorite moments that shaped DAIS. Today we're featuring a story from Luca Cristian, our PE teacher in 2006-2012 and one of those who established our school athletic program.

My name is Cristian Luca and I had the great opportunity to work at DAIS from September 2006 till June of 2012. I taught physical education and coordinated activities and athletics at DAIS.

One of the most rewarding memory I have, was hosting DAIS's first soccer ACAMIS tournament in the spring of 2012. We hosted six schools over a weekend of competitive soccer.

The Sea Dragons did not win the tournament that weekend despite giving their best. However the athletes made friendships and memories that most likely will last for a lifetime.

The event was also the first tournament I organised in an international school setting. This made it by far my favorite memory at DAIS.
