Spooky Spectacle: DAIS Haunted House and Monster Mash

Halloween season had arrived, and our school's Monster Mash and Haunted House on October 28 proved to be successful as students and staff came together for a night of fun.

Monster Mash was organized by DAIS/DHS Student Government. During the Monster Mash, students, staff and guests from whole Dalian dressed up in an array of imaginative consumes gathered to celebrate Halloween. New gym was abundant with booths with numerous activities, creating an enchanting atmosphere.

Monster Mash was more than just a costume party; it offered many games where both kids and adults could enjoy.

Haunted House

One of highlights of Monster Mash was the Haunted House.

Tireless efforts that National Honor Society members put on preparing the "Underworld Marriage" was so successful that it left students and staff trembling with both fear and excitement. The school’s bilingual building was transformed into a bone-chilling labyrinth, leading to a thrilling experience for those in the Haunted House.

Upon entering the haunted house, attendees were greeted by a dimly lit corridor, adorned with coffins and creepy decorations. The haunting melodies of background music were accompanied by spooktacular scenes acted by student volunteers set the stage for the journey.

Each room was meticulously decorated to create a terrifying, unforgettable experience. Student actors, to create a more authenticity into the Haunted House, dressed as ghosts, zombies, vampires and other creatures, getting ready to scare guests of the wicked wedding.

The fun and spooky Monster Mash and Haunted House on Saturday capped up with trick-or-treating around the dark and mysterious campus. We all had a good time and ate far too many sweets!

Throughout the evening, screams of terror, surprise, laughter filled the air of Haunted House and Monster Mash, marking a memorable chapter in DAIS history.
