NEW! The First Gifted Talent Summer Camp on DAIS Campus

Forensics class

This summer, our school will partner with the DDC Gifted Camp Program to deliver an exceptional advanced academic experience for talented young learners in Northeast China. Marking the first time the DDC program has been offered in the region, this highly selective camp is open only to students with outstanding potential. Enrollment is limited, making this a rare opportunity for those ready to be challenged at the highest level.

Camp Introduction

From 2013 to 2026, DDC Academy introduced high-quality gifted education resources from countries such as the US and the United Kingdom. Over this period, about 60 academic camps, each lasting 2-3 weeks, were held in cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hongkong. The curriculum covered areas such as Language, Math, Humanities, Art, and STEM. These programs were attended by over 10,000 primary and secondary school students and more than 400 foreign teachers.

Courses

Rocketry (G3–G5)

Rocketry for Grades 3–5 introduces physics and engineering through the excitement of flight. Students learn Newton’s laws and basic aerodynamics by designing, building, testing, and simulating model rockets, with a focus on how stability and design choices affect performance. Through hands-on experiments, engineering notebooks, and teamwork, students complete a full design–test cycle and develop transferable engineering habits and scientific communication skills.

Forensics (G5–G6)

Forensics for Grades 5–6 immerses students in evidence-based scientific investigation. Acting as forensic analysts, students apply the scientific method to simulated crime scenes, using techniques such as fingerprint analysis, microscopy, chromatography, and DNA modeling. Emphasis is placed on reasoning with data, building evidence chains, and clearly communicating conclusions through a final case presentation.

Finance and Investment (G7–G10)

Finance & Investment for Grades 7–10 builds economic thinking and investment literacy through real-world examples. Students explore incentives, risk, and compound growth while analyzing current events, financial data, and stock simulations. The course culminates in an individual investment thesis, helping students develop disciplined, data-driven decision-making skills under uncertainty. The course concludes with a U.S. stock market simulation competition using market data delayed by only two hours. Students trade with real funds in a highly realistic environment, building rational and disciplined investment decision-making skills through hands-on practice.

With more than ten years of experience and a well‑established professional management system, the program supports students in developing independence within a safe and well‑organized environment.

DDC camp participants

Many gifted children grow up without meeting peers who truly think and learn the way they do. At this camp, they will not think alone. They will learn alongside students who understand how they think and what excites them. Shared interests and similar ways of thinking will build genuine connections, helping students form their own community and discover that even advanced math jokes can finally be understood.
