Welcome Back, Sea Dragons! A New School Year Begins at DAIS

Dalian American International School is so excited to welcome new and returning families to our beautiful campus! 

The Sea Dragon Nation is never complete without our students, family support, and the joy of learning together.

Summer Renovations

There is plenty to discover around campus this year! Over the summer, DAIS refreshed classrooms, hallways, and collaboration spaces in both the elementary and secondary schools and gave the elementary school building some care and attention outside. Students can also enjoy a new soccer pitch, an upgraded playground, and an exciting climbing wall in the south gym. Together, these improvements create even more opportunities to learn, explore, play, and connect.

Faculty Orientation

Before students returned to campus, our teachers and staff came together for orientation week. One of the highlights was the Head of School's annual State of the Nation address, which celebrated the momentum DAIS has built as a community and shared an inspiring vision for the year ahead. 

Throughout the week, faculty collaborated with colleagues, participated in professional learning, AI training, and safeguarding updates, and prepared welcoming classrooms for students. Every activity was focused on ensuring a strong start to the new school year. We were also delighted to welcome several new teachers to DAIS, each bringing unique experiences and perspectives to our learning community.

Back to School Day

On August 12, we welcomed families back to campus to meet our leadership team and teachers and get ready for the first day of school. A school truly comes to life when students and parents fill its classrooms, hallways, and shared spaces. It was wonderful to see familiar faces reconnect, welcome new families to the community, and share the excitement of a new school year at DAIS.

First Day of School

The doors opened, the hallways filled, and another school year officially began at DAIS. Across campus, students reconnected with friends, met new classmates, and jumped into their first day of learning. From our youngest learners taking their first steps into the classroom to our seniors beginning their final year, it was a day full of conversation, discovery, and new beginnings.

We are excited to see where this year takes our students and look forward to celebrating every success, milestone, and memorable moment along the way.
