From July 21 to July 25, the vibrant campus of Dalian American International School transformed into a hub of creativity, exploration, and multicultural exchange as it hosted the highly anticipated Sea Dragon Summer Camp 2025. In collaboration with Dalian Huamei School, the camp welcomed children aged 4 to 12 in the elementary groups as well as Grade 6 through 9 students in the secondary for a week of immersive English learning and hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and build character.
With a focus on providing a pure English immersion environment, the camp offered a unique opportunity for students to engage with peers from diverse backgrounds while developing their intellect, creativity, and physical well-being. The average class size of 15 ensured personalized attention, with each group led by a dedicated DAIS teacher and supported by bilingual student counselors.
Campers rotated through a rich variety of classes, each designed to inspire and challenge:
Beyond the classroom, students bonded during recess, lunch breaks, and community-building activities. For students aged 9 and above, the boarding option provided a safe and comfortable environment to deepen friendships and enjoy evening programs on campus.
The highlight of the week was a thrilling field trip to a local amusement park, where laughter echoed and excitement soared. From roller coasters to cotton candy, the day was filled with unforgettable moments that perfectly capped off a week of growth and joy.
With three elementary school groups and one secondary group, Sea Dragon Summer Camp 2025 proved once again why DAIS and DHS are trusted leaders in customized summer programming. The camp not only nurtured young minds but also built bridges across cultures, leaving every camper with new skills, new friends, and cherished memories.
