Open Days
Sea Dragon Summer Camp 2024 on Dalian American International School campus has been a blast! Children had very busy two weeks with English language and STEM classes, instrumental music, sports, various free time activities, field trips to the beach, yummy food, and lots of fun in our rich learning environment.
This year, the DAIS Summer Camp ran for two weeks in July and August. Both Elementary (PreK - Grade 5) and Secondary (Grade 6-9) students were invited to join the fun, enjoying a rich array of activities tailored to their age groups. The camp featured a robust schedule of English language and STEM classes, allowing students to sharpen their academic skills. In addition to the educational components, students participated in music and sports, enhancing their creativity and physical fitness.
During all two weeks of camp, students participated in fun and hands-on learning including Literacy, Creative Writing, EAL, STEM, 3D Design, and Instrumental Music.
Our school is designed for comfort and well-being, featuring modern facilities for sports. Kids attending the summer camp engaged in intramural sports (basketball, volleyball, badminton, frisbee and others) as well as swimming in the heated 25-meter swimming pool.
Children also went on field trips to Jinshitan Beach and enjoyed beach games, exploring the natural beauty of the area.
Day students who went to DAIS summer camp had a delicious lunch at noon, while the boarding program included three meals and a night snack.
Apart from classes, kids had time to socialize, play, eat healthy snacks, and enjoy hot summer.
Students who stayed in DAIS dorm overnight could participate in evening activities supervised by boarding teachers, including cooking, handicraft and even a first aid training!
During summer camp activities, children developed their intellect, character, and health through collaborating with students from diverse backgrounds. Thank you to our dedicated teachers, brilliant camp coordinators Ms. Lauren Smith and Ms. Judy Dlamini, as well as student volunteers.
See you on our campus next summer for the Sea Dragon Summer Camp 2025!
