For students studying independently and families relocating to Dalian, DAIS offers more than education, we offer community. 

Independence with Support 

Boarding at DAIS is designed for students who are ready to grow in independence while remaining fully supported. 

Families can choose the boarding option that best fits their needs: 

  • 5-Day Boarding (Monday–Friday) 
  • 7-Day Boarding (Full Week) 

From Grade 3 to Grade 12, students develop: 

  • Responsibility and self-discipline

A structured routine helps students develop discipline, responsibility, and confidence.

Our Secondary Boarding Schedule includes:

  • 7:15 Wake-up
  • Full school day
  • 4:00–5:00 ASA participation
  • 6:00–8:00 Guided Study Time (GST)
  • 9:45 Dormitory check-in
  • 10:00 Lights out

Electronics are collected at night to protect sleep and wellbeing.

Elementary boarders follow an earlier curfew and shorter study structure.

Guided Study Time (GST): Academic Advantage

Every evening, students participate in supervised Guided Study Time:

  • Core subject teachers (Math, English, Science) available
  • Structured independent study
  • Additional English development
  • Extended study room application if needed

This is not "homework time." It is monitored academic coaching.

After-school and Weekend Enrichment

Boarders participate in structured activities including:

  • Hiking and mountain exploration

  • Separate male and female wings
  • Four-student rooms
  • Heating, air-conditioning, air purification
  • Silent study rooms on every floor
  • Computer rooms and lounges
  • Laundry and shared kitchen facilities

Closed management system with:

  • Facial recognition access
  • 24-hour CCTV monitoring
  • Gated campus security

Parents are in direct contact with the boarding team.
