Dalian American International School and Dalian Huamei School were proud to host the Gold Division ACAMIS Volleyball Tournament on October 31 - November 2, 2024.
On the incredible opening day of the Gold Division ACAMIS Volleyball 2024, each team played three games, with some extremely close matches throughout. Members of the Sea Dragons community created an amazing atmosphere, making it a memorable day that will be cherished for a long time.
The girls' division saw some incredibly close games going right down to the wire. By the end of the day, ISNS Phoenix led the way with three wins out of three, with XIS Dolphins and WCIS Lions in close pursuit. DAIS Sea Dragons ended in fourth place due to their head-to-head record against the BSB Bears, as both teams had earned one victory each. AISHK was still seeking their first win.
n the boys' division, the early pacesetters were ISNS Phoenix and WCIS Lions, both boasting a 100% record. They were closely followed by AISHK Kangaroos with two wins, and BSB Bears with one win. Still awaiting their first victory of the tournament were XIS Dolphins and DAIS Sea Dragons; however, with two wins on the next day, they still had an opportunity to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
It became crunch time in the pool section on day of the ACAMIS Gold Division Volleyball tournament with semi-final places well and truly up for grabs.
In the girls division ISNS Phoenix showed the way with a flawless undefeated record in the group stage. They were chased all the way by XIS Dolphins, with the next 3 teams all tied with 2 wins. Unfortunately only 2 teams from those 3 could make into the semi-finals, with the teams having to separated by set difference. BSB Bears were the unlucky team to miss out with WCIS Lions and DAIS Sea Dragons taking the final semi-final berths.
In the Boys division WCIS Lions continued their very strong form with 2 more wins to round-out the group stage with a 100% record. They were closely followed by ISNS Phoenix and AISHK Kangaroos. XIS Dolphins became the 4th team in the semi-final after winning both of their games.
