On the American Thanksgiving Day, we pause to celebrate gratitude and togetherness. At Dalian American International School, we are thankful for our vibrant community: students, families, teachers, staff, and alumni. Your support and spirit remind us that together is better. Over the past days, this sense of unity has come to life through a variety of activities and traditions that brought joy, learning, delicious meals, and connection to our campus.
In Grade 5 Mandarin class, students wrote heartfelt gratitude notes in Chinese, sharing what they are thankful for in their own words.

Our cafeteria team prepared a festive Thanksgiving lunch buffet for all students and staff, featuring roasted chicken, prawns, a colorful selection of vegetables and fruits, and freshly baked muffins.

Early Years students and Grade 5 practiced Gratitude in a very meaningful way. Paired up in a buddy system, students wrote messages of Gratitude on paper leaves that hung from trees around our community. Together, they also experienced a Forest School adventure under Mrs. Clark’s expert guidance. An afternoon of connection, making Gratitude visible!

Middle School celebrated with its annual Thanksgiving luncheon, a warm potluck-style gathering hosted by our Parent Support Group, featuring homemade dishes that brought friends together.

The celebration concluded with a festive Thanksgiving dinner for our community, featuring a rich menu of seasonal favorites: turkey with gravy, pumpkin pie, a variety of sides, desserts and drinks.

From themed learning activities to Middle School’s potluck luncheon hosted by the Parent Support Group, and a grand Thanksgiving dinner, this November we celebrated gratitude and togetherness in ways that make our DAIS community truly special.
Thank you for being part of the DAIS family!
