End of School Year Awards and Recognitions

At the end of May, we celebrated team and individual accomplishments of DAIS Secondary students.

On May 22, High School students received academic awards across all school subjects during a ceremony in the North Gym. Congratulations to all nominees and winners, and a special shout out to Sam Liu (in the picture above) who got the EARCOS Global Citizen Award!

The Middle School had the Awards Ceremony on the following Monday, May 29. Students cheered on their peers who got to the stage and got their diplomas for nominations in various subject areas.

NHS Induction Ceremony

14 new members joined the National Honor Society Golden Pebble Beach Chapter during an elegant NHS Induction ceremony on May 23. They will continue to demonstrate outstanding character, leadership, and service in our school.

Student Government

On Monday, May 15, Grade 8 through 11 students assembled during extended advisory to listen candidates' speeches. Together with the creative posters that can be seen all around the secondary building and convincing videos that students have been sharing through social media, this High School Student Government election campaign is as successful as ever. Sports Awards Ceremony

On Monday, May 22 the Varsity/Junior Varsity teams from Table Tennis, Cross Country, Volleyball, Swimming, Basketball, Badminton and Soccer celebrated team and individual accomplishments in the first ever Sports Award Ceremony at DAIS/DHS. It was a highly successful year on the sporting front, with the Sea Dragons winning four trophies in ACAMIS and the Boys Basketball team winning ACAMIS for the first time in our school’s history. Congratulations to all student athletes, teams and coaches and in particular the following award winners:

University of Waterloo Math Contest Awards

Congratulations to Mr. Ng’s Math class students who got recognized at the Gauss Contest, University of Waterloo this year.
