We celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week at Dalian American International school on May 15-19. Students prepared cards and small treats for their favorite teachers and showed their gratitude in many different ways.
Our wonderful Parent Support Group organized a series of celebrations for each day of the week. On Monday, students were encouraged to prepare cards or draw pictures for their beloved teachers at home and bring them to school.
On Tuesday, students could wear their teacher's favorite colors to school. Finding out these favorite colors was part of the fun!
Wednesday was marked with small tokens of appreciation such as chocolates, flowers or gift cards.
The culmination event of the week was the Happy Hour on Thursday afternoon. Teachers could enjoy home-cooked dishes, snacks and drinks and sit and relax outside. What a fantastic way to end a workday!
And on Friday Dr. Swann, the Head of school, hosted a delicious breakfast for teachers in the Multipurpose room.
