We are very excited that we were able to resume on-site classes for the last two weeks before the winter break. While students have done a great job at continuing their learning online, we understand there are limitations to not being face-to-face and we’re happy to welcome students back into our buildings. We have committed considerable time and resources to preparing for the reopening. Safety is always our highest priority.
Before we could welcome students back into our buildings, there was mandatory COVID testing of everyone in our school community. All of our school faculty and staff were given a Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) on Sunday, December 5th at a government mandated facility. The school organized transportation and full support of the process. We also collected Health Code information to ensure all of our faculty and staff are able to safely attend school.
All DAIS students were tested on campus on Monday, December 6th. Testing took place in the South Gym, and our students cooperated really well with the medical team. Everything went as smoothly and quickly as it could so that we could proceed with normal class schedule without much interruption.
