Open Days
DAIS/DHS Musical Theater lit up the stage on April 22 and 23 with "Chicago," bringing the glitz and grit of the 1920s to life. This vibrant production was a collaboration between Musical Theater, Design, and Advanced Choir. The audience was swept up in the energy, style, and sparkle of the Jazz Age.
The story follows two ambitious performers, Roxie Hart (played by Airi and Nancy) and Velma Kelly (Angela and Michelle), as they navigate the spotlight in a city obsessed with fame. Biel and Felix portrayed the smooth-talking attorney Billy Flynn, while Winnie and Cindy shared the roles of Mary Sunshine and Mama Morton. The cast also featured Selina, Kagahira, Yilin, Alex, Cassie, Cherri and many others in dynamic supporting roles.
"Chicago" has been a Broadway favorite since 1975, known for its jazz-inspired music, sharp choreography, and theatrical flair. With bold performances and great teamwork, our students put on a show to remember - thanks to the guidance and support of Ms. Logan Bryant and Ms. Terry Saez, whose leadership helped bring it all together onstage and behind the scenes.
