Character in Action: Fun Lessons on Personal Responsibility

Secondary students teach elementary school kids

On October 16, our school was buzzing with excitement as secondary students led a series of experiential learning activities for the elementary school kids. The theme for the day was "Personal Responsibility," covering SWLO I: Learners will become respectful and trustworthy global citizens that demonstrate strong character through responsible, fair, and caring actions. The older students had prepared interactive sessions to help the younger ones explore what it means to take responsibility in their daily lives and to serve others.

Each secondary student group designed a character building activity that made the concept of personal responsibility fun and engaging. Whether through games, team challenges, or creative exercises, the elementary students had a blast while learning valuable lessons. Throughout the day, the secondary students ran their activities multiple times, with new groups of elementary students rotating throughout the school, keeping the energy high and the learning continuous.

It was a rewarding experience for everyone involved, as the secondary students got to practice leadership and responsibility themselves, all while helping the younger students grow in a hands-on way. The day wrapped up with smiles and a sense of accomplishment all around!
