From January 18 to January 21, the DAIS delegation participated in CISSMUN XIII, which took place at Concordia International School in Shanghai.
Being the second travel conference that the DAIS delegation participated in this school year, this was by far a phenomenal experience. Meeting over 700 delegates from 38 schools, including schools from Iran who traveled internationally, DAIS delegates had a wonderful opportunity to interact with diverse cultures as they navigated through all the possible solutions to global issues at hand.
Among 700+ delegates, only one outstanding individual from each committee is selected and presented with the best delegate award. A shout-out to our delegate, Rebecca Lyu, who won the best delegate as the delegate of Thailand in GA 3. Congratulations, Rebecca!
The theme of the conference, “The Age of Acceleration”, marks not only the post-pandemic world we live in but also a period of rapid technological development. CISSMUN may be the last travel conference for some of our seniors, but also one of the many opportunities that our juniors and sophomores will be participating in in their high school MUN journey. It is envisioned that DAIS delegates will continue to strive for similar opportunities in the future, whether it is in international or domestic conferences, or MUN conference in their future educational career.
Lastly, a huge thank you to our directors, Mr. Collins and Ms. Kylee, for supporting the DAIS delegation in another MUN journey. We can’t wait to explore more possibilities with you!
