On the 21st and 22nd of October, DAIS hosted Goal Setting Conferences and Parent-Teacher Conferences. Communication between home and the school is extremely essential for an effective instructional environment for our children. We look forward to parents' insight regarding their child’s education and input about the school year. Families provide valuable information teachers, so they are better able to address students' needs.
In the Elementary division, parents were able to attend Student Goal Conferences. It was wonderful to see all our students share their goals and how they will achieve them with their parents. The goal setting process helps students understand how they are performing, bring an awareness on how to achieve their goals while raising their meta-cognition. This process helps DAIS-E meet our strategic plan of raising student understanding of their progress which was identified in the WASC report.
