The Art of Game Design: Meet Yuchen, DAIS/Huamei Class of 2025

Yuchen Wang, DAIS/DHS Class of 2025

Yuchen Wang, a Class of 2025 graduate of DAIS/Huamei, is turning his passion for video games into a purposeful career. Known around campus for his creativity, DJ skills and artistic flair, Yuchen will be heading to the prestigious DigiPen Institute of Technology in Redmond, Washington, a university consistently ranked among the top game design schools in the world.

At DAIS, Yuchen left his mark through last year's standout t-shirt design project that showcased his eye for visual storytelling. "I’ve been painting since I was four, and to this day, art still dominates my life. Whenever I feel anxious or confused, painting brings me peace," Yuchen reflects.

"I chose game art because I love immersing myself in the conceptual worlds I create - places where characters navigate complex realms and go through all kinds of experiences. Through this process, I can freely unleash my creativity and bring these worlds to life," he explains.
