Open Days
As the president of the Sea Dragon Ambassadors, I am incredibly proud of our ongoing commitment to service. Our recent Gift Box Initiative was a testament to the generosity and dedication of our community, successfully collecting over 200 pounds of toys, clothes, and books to donate to the children at the Dalian Welfare Institute. This initiative was not just about gathering supplies—it was about bringing joy, warmth, and hope to these children.
One of the most touching aspects of this initiative was seeing how small acts of kindness can create a huge impact. Every book, toy, and piece of clothing carried a message of love and care, providing warmth and support to the children. The enthusiasm of our volunteers and donors was truly inspiring, proving that when a community comes together for a shared purpose, real change happens.
Leading this initiative has been a deeply meaningful learning experience for me. It has taught me how to organize, communicate, and inspire others to work toward a common goal. From planning the donation drive to ensuring the smooth distribution of supplies, I have come to understand that leadership is not just about managing a team—it is about understanding the needs of those we serve and allocating resources effectively.
At the same time, we are actively working on a new service project for the Wolong nursing home. This initiative focuses on providing essential supplies, fostering community engagement, and offering direct support to the residents. As we continue this work, we remain committed to our values of empathy, responsibility, and service, striving to make a meaningful impact and uphold the mission of the Sea Dragon Ambassadors.
Service is a cycle—the more we give, the more we grow. As the saying goes, “Giving roses to others leaves a lingering fragrance on your hands,” reminding us that acts of kindness not only benefit others but also enrich our own lives. I look forward to seeing the continued impact of our efforts and leading our team with passion and dedication.
