Anbo Ski Trip: Winter Tradition at DAIS and Huamei

Ski Trip

The Sea Dragons hit the slopes of Anbo on Saturday, February 18 to enjoy a morning skiing and snowboarding. This is an annual tradition for the secondary school at DAIS/DHS.

Everyone arrived bright and early to campus to board the bus to Anbo for the annual ski trip, spirits were high and the students were excited to arrive! After about 2 hours we arrived to the resort and after a quick reminder to care for not only their own personal safety but also everyone else, we broke up into chaperone groups to plan on a meetup time. Students checked in and began getting their gear checked out from the staff at the Resort. It has recently been remodeled and many students were impressed by the change from last year to this year.

Skiing and Snowboarding

Our skiing chaperones went out to start monitoring the slopes while the rest of the students geared up and once everyone was out the students quickly got comfortable with the facilities of the resort. It was wonderful to see that many of our students were helping their peers who had never gone skiing or snowboarding before, they were so kind to lead and care for their friends as they got comfortable on their equipment.

Once noon rolled around everyone checked in with their chaperones and took a group picture before heading in for a nice warm lunch. After that the students then went out for another round of skiing for about 2 hours, before we packed everything up and began the trip home. The students seemed like they had a wonderful time, and many of families also came together to enjoy the trip alongside the students who traveled with the school. We were lucky that not many other people were there so it was a very safe and fun environment for our students to enjoy!
