Grade 5 Students Ready for Secondary School

Promotion to secondary school

On Wednesday, June 9th all Grade 5 students, their homeroom teachers Ms. Gyoba and Mr. Negash, as well as their family members and school faculty came together in the Elementary Community Time Room to celebrate their transition into Middle School.

Our school prepared a video where all 5th grade students were featured, and this was definitely the best way to start the celebration. Then Peter Row, DAIS Elementary School Principal, addressed the students with a hearty speech. He said that every student played a special role in class. Mr. Row also recalled that some of kids even spent more years at DAIS Elementary than himself!

Grade 5

Every student received the Certificate of Achievement proving that he or she successfully completed the Fifth Grade at DAIS, and a bouquet of beautiful flowers. Parents gave a huge round of applause when each kid appeared on stage to take a picture with principals. Finally, after the formal part, newly fledged middle school students were able to celebrate with their friends, take funny pictures and eat delicious treats.

Mr. Nathan Burton was very proud to welcome new students to DAIS Secondary School. Though studying in Middle School may be not that easy, he is confident that these kids will do exceptionally well.
