Oliver Bernabe

An ambassador of understanding and appreciating cultural differences and diversity among his students, colleagues, peers and the community.

Biography

The school year following his college graduation, his alma mater employed him to teach mathematics in the secondary and tertiary levels. After eight years of teaching in the Philippines, he traveled to China and afterwards found himself teaching ESL to Chinese students of different age levels. He also taught A-level mathematics to Chinese students who will complete their university studies in the UK.

Oliver has now worked at DAIS for more than four years and considers every moment of teaching as a learning experience not just towards being a better instrument for student’s understanding of mathematics and its applications, but also as an ambassador of understanding and appreciating cultural differences and diversity among his students, colleagues, peers and the community.
