Realizing that education was his true passion in life, he leapt at the chance to teach graphic arts, computer science and engineering.
Justin Sheehan first found his passion for engineering and design at the age of nine as he built and launched rockets with his father and grandfather under the blustery autumn skies of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Justin later graduated from DePaul University in Chicago, IL with a degree in finance and economics. During his time in the business world, he re-discovered his passion for learning and educating when he had the opportunity to teach middle school students about business through the lens of computer science and programming.
Realizing that education was his true passion in life, he leapt at the chance to teach graphic arts, computer science and engineering at a local private school. A few years later, he committed fully to teaching by completing a master’s degree in STEM leadership at the Illinois Institute of Technology; he celebrated his graduation with a move to Guadalajara, Mexico where he taught mathematics, science and programming. Justin enjoys reading books about history, food and tea, building cosplay props and outfits and crafting leather goods. Throughout his life, he has been an avid player of video games, and won the 1999 Southeastern US Blockbuster Tournament of Champions playing the original release of Smash Brothers for the N64. He is often overheard reminding his friends, family and students of this achievement.
