Mr. Newton’s goals are to develop an excellent rapport with students and to expand their curiosity and growing their interest in learning. As the elementary design teacher, he works to provide opportunities for students to engineer, design, create, and build critical thinking skills that will help them become successful adults. He challenges students to work hard and think systematically in order to solve problems and reach their goals. Students in his class have a clear goal with many different ways to reach it. They choose the plan they think is best, then improve their plan and try again when they fail. Ben has no doubt that it is through our mistakes that we grow as thinkers and problem solvers. It is his mission to remove any doubt or boundary to students’ learning and give them the opportunities to become the most capable thinker they can be.
Personally, Ben likes traveling, watching movies, and astronomy.
