Q: What are the dining options in the area?

The Hungry Scholar Caf&eacute; located on Dalian American International School campus serves Western and Chinese fare, in addition to snacks and baked goods. There are a few caf&eacute;s and restaurants not far from the school and the hotels too, including Pizza Hut, McDonald's, KFC and other international brands alongside independent coffee shops, seafood places and local restaurants offering great service and value. Both dine-in and delivery are available.

GAMES AND SCORES

The tournament will follow ACAMIS guidelines for hosting high school tournaments with round-robin play followed by play-offs and finals. Boys and girls competitions will be played simultaneously. All schools will play two games on Thursday, April 20 and three games on Friday, April 21. Saturday, April 22 is reserved for Semi Finals, Placing Games, and Finals.

This schedule will be updated live (adding the scores) during the tournament.

DURING THE TOURNAMENT

We are doing our best to make your experience attending ACAMIS Football Tournament in Dalian as safe, pleasant and smooth as possible. Please find all necessary information regarding living arrangements, food and healthcare here.

Accomodation

There are two recommended hotel options for the participants. Both are located 3 km from the school, around 10 minutes by bus. Both provide a safe, high-quality accommodation and facilities.

Venues

The tournament will take place at the Dalian American International School campus and in Dalian No. 24 High School facilities located close by.

Meals

We will provide lunch and dinner for all participants starting on Thursday, April 20. Meals will be served in the school cafeteria or specified alternative location. There will be a banquet served after the closing ceremony on April 22. We will also provide drinking water throughout the tournament, but participants must bring their own water bottles.

Healthcare

Medical personnel will be on site throughout the competition. Visiting schools need to confirm that all participants have their own medical insurance and details of these policies should be retained with the individual schools.

Transportation

Dalian North train station is around a 45 minute bus journey from the school / recommended hotels. The Dalian airport is around a 1 hour and 15-minute bus ride from the school / recommended hotels. DAIS buses will be used to transport teams between the airport, tournament hotel, and the fields.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

What is the best date and time to arrive in Dalian to participate in the tournament?

Please plan to arrive in Dalian on the afternoon/evening of Wednesday, April 19. Dalian North train station is around a 45minute bus journey from the school / recommended hotels. The Dalian airport is around a 1 hour and 15-minute bus ride from the school / recommended hotels. Transportation will be provided from airport or train station to the hotel or DAIS depending on the arrival time and request of the school.

What balls will be used for the games?

The tournament ball will be the size 5 Puma Serie A Orbita FIFA Quality ball.

When and where the Opening Ceremony will be held?

The Opening Ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 20 at 8:45 in the DAIS North Gym. Teams will enter the gym as they are announced by the host.

Where and when should the teams come for the Closing Ceremony?

The Awards Presentation Ceremony will be held in the DAIS North Gym on Saturday, April 22 at 3:45. Please expect the All Tournament Award, Spirit of ACAMIS Award, 3rd place, 2nd place and Championship awards announced. After the formal part, all are welcome to enjoy the banquet in the North Gym.
