The Middle School Student Council hosted two events in May – the Knowledge Bowl on May 7 and the Talent Show on May 21.
The Middle School Student Council was inspired by the high school knowledge bowl and hosted their first Knowledge Bowl on May 7th. Four student teams and two teacher teams competed there. Teams answered questions from several areas such as math, science, history, pop culture, and more.
The winning student team members were Liana Gifford, Crystal Liang, Reann Lim, Jessica Zhao, and Frank Bong. Ms. Stark and Mr. Beach were on the winning teacher team. Congratulations!
The Middle School Student Council hosted its annual Talent Show on May 21st. This activity gave students the opportunity to show off their special talents. This year some new twists were added to the event. Students performed in three categories: advisory team, small group, and individually. They were able to sing, dance, play an instrument, or even perform some theatricals. The audience was truly amazed how talented all our middle school students are, and gave each participant a huge round of applause.
Judges determined the winner for each category. The winner for best advisory team was Ms. Hill-Crowe’s class. The winners for the group performance were Linda Li and Fiona Fan. The winner for the individual performance was Angela Zhen. Congratulations to the winners!
The celebration wrapped up with a delicious dinner served by our students. Then students enjoyed dancing in the gym. That was a memorable evening for everyone.
