Beth Rohrbeck and Ben Newton will be hosting a casual conversation about a few topics concerning students, families, and technology. You may want to bring your laptop to bookmark websites or to ask questions specifically about your distance learning needs. (See Tech Triage below). For those who cannot attend, we will be recording the meeting and sharing it with the public afterwards.

1. What’s new with the Nord Anglia transition? – We will spend a few minutes discussing any changes (that we are aware of) to the technology realm as it relates to DAIS being bought out by Nord Anglia.
2. How can I lower the risks to my student while online? – In this section, we will be discussing everything from anti-virus programs to maintaining your computer to rules you can set for using technology. Together, these will reduce the chance of your children (or your data) having a negative experience online.
3. What resources are available right now that my child can access? – In this section, we will be discussing what websites and materials are available for your child and, in some cases, your family. These are tools you can use right now and are included as a benefit of being a member of the DAIS family.
4. Tech Triage – Finally, we will close the meeting with having time to troubleshoot issues specific to your tech needs. We will direct your questions to the appropriate DAIS personnel or address it then. Just so you know, Beth and Ben are not part of the IT Department and focus primarily on instructional issues such as logging in and accessing learning materials.
