Dalian American International School

About Parent-School Partnership

Dear DAIS Families,

Welcome to Dalian American International School (DAIS) and the Parent School Partnership (PSP)! Our PSP Board is composed of parent representatives from across all grade levels at DAIS and the Dalian Huamei Academy.

As a parent of a DAIS student, you are a vital part of our community, and we invite you to join the work we do to serve our school. How much you contribute to the PSP is up to you, but we do hope you will get involved and take advantage of this organization.

The PSP’s primary goal is to support and enhance the lives of DAIS students and staff through activities and events held throughout the year including:

Hosting social family events, such as our annual “Back to School” party

Organizing an event known as “International Day” to showcase the countries we all come from and to celebrate the great diversity of our student body and staff

Helping with the scholastic book orders and distribution

Honoring our educators during Teacher Appreciation Week

If you are interested in getting involved with PSP, please fill out the “DAIS Volunteer Form” that you received at the beginning of the year. A PSP Board Member will get in touch with you to discuss with you the ways that you can help.

Don’t worry if you are not a native English speaker. We have board members from all over the world, and if you want to be involved, we welcome your help and involvement in our community.

We hope you will join in making DAIS a wonderful experience for our children and community this school year!

You are PSP!

Every school parent is a member of the Parent-School Partnership

As a member of the PSP, all parents can:

  • Attend school events
  • Volunteer at events and in classroom
  • Join PSP regular monthly meetings

We want to hear from you!

Your opinion and ideas matter to us.
Please feel free to contact our Board members.

Coronavirus Situation Update

Please note that due to the current novel coronavirus outbreak, DAIS will be conducting online lessons for our students until the campus resumes onsite classes. All DAIS activities and events have been postponed until further notice. We ask parents to regularly check their registered school email address for updates. Thank you for your understanding.
